Melton Truck Lines Press and Media
A monthly celebration of Tulsa-based Melton Truck Lines perhaps poetically shows why the company topped The Oklahoman's Top Workplaces list for midsize companies for the second year in a row.
The executive team brings employees together one Wednesday each month to share updates and other important news, but primarily to thank employees for their company contributions.
A quick Q&A with Chairman and CEO, Bob Peterson.
Melton Truck Lines is finally all moved into its brand new 77,000-square-foot headquarters in east Tulsa.
In addition to new features like a state-of-the-art gym and a restaurant packed with healthy options, the three-story facility offers the once-cramped Melton space to accommodate a planned doubling in size over the next decade.
Melton Truck Lines employees were greeted by a stunning 35-foot Christmas tree when they reported to work the Monday before Thanksgiving week, the first holiday season in their new 77,000-square-foot building.
“I think I saw no less than five posts of pictures of the tree on Facebook that day,” said Shayla Williams, 29, safety and employee services staffer.
The Oklahoman has recognized 70 Companies and Organizations in Oklahoma as Top Workplaces 2016 . These companies have been recognized as Top Workplaces based solely on surveys about the workplace completed by their employees.
Top Workplaces are not only better places to work but are more likely to be successful than peer organizations.
Flatbed carrier Melton Truck Lines has added 53-foot stepdeck trailers to its fleet to allow the company to meet a broader scope of customer needs, the company announced.
The company now has 200 all-aluminum stepdeck trailers that are lightweight and able to scale a 48,000-pound payload.
Healthy employees make for healthy business. The 2014 Healthy Executive program received numerous nominations for local senior executives who support their company’s worksite wellness program while maintaining their own personal commitment to health. A panel of judges reviewed the nominations and selected winners who inspire and provide opportunities for their employees to pursue wellness.
We’re proud to recognize these top local executives for their outstanding efforts to lead the way for wellness in Tulsa County!
